Meet the Artist
I started this business in August of 2019 after falling in love with ceramics in college. In 2020 I received my Bachelor's Degree in Studio Art, with a Ceramics emphasis from CSU Channel Islands. Shortly after, I took a huge chance and quit my predictable retail job to pursue a not-so-predictable career as a full-time artist. It was a scary step to take, but a necessary one. I am now able to focus all of my energy into doing what makes me truly happy, which is making one-of-a-kind mugs!
Many know me best for my flower mugs, but I also make mugs with intricate carvings, gold detailing, and soft colors. I draw inspiration from the nature around me, holidays, and what is going on in my own life. Every single piece I create is made with so much love and attention to detail, since I truly believe in the importance of the beauty in uniqueness. My hope is that my mugs bring joy to your mornings.
My work is wheel-thrown porcelain, featuring elements such as hand-built flowers, 22k gold, hand-painted glazes, and carvings. Everything is designed and handmade by me!
If you would like to follow along with my day-to-day work in the studio and get a behind the scenes look at what goes into the making of an Emily Christine Ceramics piece, follow along on my Instagram stories!
I live in Wylie, Texas with my husband Kenny, and our dogs, Teddy and Poppy.
