FAQ

My Process

Everything is designed and handmade by me. If you would like to see more behind the scenes of my process, follow along on my Instagram stories! I post stories almost daily throughout the week.

Where is your business located?

My studio is currently located in Wylie, Texas.

I live locally! Do you teach private lessons?

I do not teach private lessons and do not have any future plans to do so. If you are looking to learn how to hand build or throw pottery, I would suggest finding a local studio near you that offers lessons, or take a class at your local community college! Moorpark College has a great program if you're local.

How can I purchase your work? When is your next restock?

If you would like to purchase my work, please subscribe to my email list to be the first to know when I will be restocking my website. I send out an email a few days prior to each restock with the date and time it will go live, as well as a second email when the new items on my site are live and ready to shop.

My restocks tend to sell out quickly, so I would suggest creating an account on my website ahead of time so all of your shipping information is saved! Adding an item to your cart does not place it on hold, so be ready to complete a quick checkout. The fastest method of checkout is through Apple Pay. If you want to purchase multiple items, purchase the one you want most first, then go back for more. If you are overcharged for shipping, I will refund the difference.

I didn’t get the item I wanted! What do I do now?

Please remember that I am only one person, and I make as much work as I possibly can for each website restock. When I have certain items that are especially popular, I do tend to make more of that style for future restocks. I am always growing and improving my work, so keep an eye out for future restock dates and what will be included in those! I truly feel that each restock is better than the one before, so there will always be more opportunities! Also, make sure to be subscribed to my email list to be the first to know when my next restock will be.

Do you accept custom/wholesale/personalized orders?

At this time, I am not accepting any custom, wholesale, or personalized orders. Since I hand make everything, I have chosen to focus my energy on what inspires me most. I am only one person and can only make so much. If you would like to purchase my work, you can do so during each website restock.

How do I care for my Emily Christine Ceramics piece?

All of my work is intended for everyday use. If your piece has yellow gold, white gold, or mother of pearl (iridescent overglaze) lustre, it is not microwave safe. I also recommend hand washing these pieces. Additionally, I recommend hand washing flower mugs, as the flowers are easily bumped in the dishwasher.

If your piece does not have any lustre or attached features (flowers, etc), it is microwave and dishwasher safe (example: Rustic Mug Collection).

What do I do if I receive my order and it is cracked or broken?

I purchase shipping insurance through USPS for every order. Please contact me if you receive your order and it is broken. Please include pictures of both the box it was shipped in, as well as the broken item. I can either refund you, or make you a new item to replace the broken one. My turnaround is 1-2 months if you choose to have your item replaced.

My mug broke! What do I do?

Please remember that while my work is made with everyday use in mind, ceramic goods are fragile. Once you have received your mug in the mail and began using it, I am no longer liable for any cracks or breaks. If your mug breaks and you want to keep it to use solely as a display item in your home or as a plant pot, you can glue it together with E6000 glue. Please keep in mind though, it will no longer be food safe if you choose to do this.

Returns/Exchanges

I do not accept any returns or exchanges. All sales are final.

Shipping

Shipping starts at $10, and goes up depending on how many pieces you order, as well as the weight of each item. Please plan accordingly when planning an order, since you will spend at least $10 on shipping per item. If you are overcharged, I will refund you the difference.

International Shipping

International shipping starts at $30. Please contact me after placing your order if you live outside of the US, since there are a few different shipping options and price options to choose from. I ship internationally with USPS and DSL Express.

Local Pickup

My studio is currently located in Wylie, Texas (northeast Dallas suburb). If you live locally and would like to pick up your purchase from me in person, please email me so I can refund your shipping charge and set up a time for you to come pick up your order. Local pickups are contactless in order to be COVID safe.
